Meet Hunter
Yá’át’ééh! Greetings my relatives! My name is Hunter Warren and I am of the Navajo (Diné) Tribe. I am TábÄ…Ä…há (Water’s Edge Clan) born for Bit’ahnii (Within His Cover Clan). My Maternal Grandfather is Táchii’nii (Red Running into the Water People Clan). My Paternal Grandfather is Kin Å‚ichii’nii (The Red House People clan). I am originally from Red Mesa, Utah which is located on the Northern side of the great Navajo Reservation, but I currently reside in Blanding, UT. I received my Bachelors of Science in Social Work with a minor in Native American Studies and Sociology. Fun fact, I have been an American Indian Services Scholarship recipient while obtaining my degree. I am very humbled to be the AIS PREP Blanding Site Coordinator for a second year. I want to help students in my community and surrounding communities gain a love for the STEM fields. I hope to take the “I don’t belong” and turn them into “I do belong” by exposing AIS PREP students to the many opportunities out there and show them that there are many students like them taking on big STEM roles so they don’t have to be afraid. I’m so grateful to be apart of the AIS PREP team as well as American Indian Services cause we get to see young minds take on the world.
